Representative Renee Ellmers (R-NC), who, when asked if she was deferring her six-figure paycheck like some other Representatives are doing in solidarity with the Federal workers who are not getting paid, said no — “I need my paycheck.” Unlike, apparently, the Capitol policemen who protected her skanky ass today when that crazy lady tried to crash through the barricades. Who are just supposed to go out there, unpaid, and protect her self-entitled sociopathic lizard person self even though they’re, like, working for free. Because they should feel privileged to work for free. Unlike her. Because she’s a special little snowflake.
When I hear about things like the WIC shutting down and mothers and infants going hungry, when some of my friends who work for the USFS or NPS are now out of a job for the duration or working unpaid as “critical” employees, when even the Naval Postgraduate Institute and Defense Language Institute so critical for maintaining the quality of our military have been mostly shut down — and then I hear this special little snowflake say “I need my paycheck”, unlike, apparently, those people (as in, anybody who isn’t a white powerful politician bitch like her)… truly, she is Today’s Worst Person. The only thing worse that she could have said would have been, when asked about the unpaid federal workers or hungry childen would have been, “Let them eat cake”. Just sayin’.

That, and when did it become fashionable in the USA to kill before capture. Damn those folks are scared out of their underpants. Bush duo had people crossing the fence and they were escorted to jail. Now we have a poor mom and probably a depressed tourist, get wipped out because she took a wrong turn in DC, sounds as bad as a Ghetto.

Jim, all bets were off when that crazy lady gunned her car through a bunch of cops and smacked one of them to the ground, causing major injuries. A car is a deadly weapon and when you attack a cop with a deadly weapon, expect to be killed. And to top it off she continued attempting to ram her way through barricades and rammed a police car so hard that it looked like a frickin’ pancake. There’s no telling what was going on in her mind but clearly it wasn’t something good, and if she was willing to do that to police officers and a police car there was no telling what she was willing to do to Congress, and remember they’re not psychic, they had no idea whether she had a gun or not, but if she had a gun and was acting this nutty then someone was going to die if they didn’t stop her. The job of the Capitol police is to protect Congress from people like that, and they did their job. Despite being unpaid. Unlike our special little snowflake up there that they protected.

And Rep Snowflake (R, ME), doesn’t take emails from people who live outside her district. So she’s getting a letter.

Looks like the bad press got to her: Snowflake filed a request to have her paycheck held.
I, for one, have changed my mind about this shutdown. I’d like the Republicans to keep playing this game a little bit longer. Because they have managed to get my normally ‘raving right-wing’ boss mad as hell at them. I tried calling Boehner to tell him that, his message box was full. I’d really like to listen in as some poor staffer has to go through them.

Congressmen refusing their paychecks are just grandstanding. That’s not where the important money comes from. When somebody swears off fundraising calls until the impasse is resolved, then I’ll know they’re sincere.

You forgot to mention that a number of the Boehner’s Shutdown lemmings are talking about not paying back pay when Boehner’s Shutdown ends.
