Reminder: There is no medical evidence that human life exists before the third trimester of pregnancy. A fetus prior to that time has no ability to exist independently of their mother, fails every common test of brain activity, and otherwise flunks every medical test of “human” versus “not human”.

Saying “life begins at conception” is not a medical observation. It is a religious observation. Under the 1st Amendment, we’re not supposed to be legislating religion into law. But the current right-wing jihadists who run the U.S. Supreme Court only care about one amendment of the Bill of Rights — the 2nd Amendment — and that’s because they don’t care about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, or rule of law in general, they care about making sure that their fellow right-wing jihadists are well armed so that they can seize power at gunpoint if the population decides they aren’t going to be ruled by the Christian Taliban’s right-wing jihadists.

Look, I can respect your heartfelt religious belief that life begins at conception. But when you want your religious belief to be written into law, you are *WRONG*. The Constitution says you’re wrong, and if you spit on the Constitution, you aren’t a real American.

And what that says about the right wing Christian Taliban jihadists on the U.S. Supreme Court…

I wonder how many people who are out tonight, protesting the end of Roe, couldn’t bring themselves to vote for “the lesser of two evils” and rationalized their insane purity test by saying ”Roe is settled law”?

Now that Roe is gone, Clarence Thomas has his eye on Obergefell (same-sex marriage) and Griswold (access to contraceptives. Alito wants to revist Loving (interracial marriage) and Kelo (government seizing property through eminent domain to give to another for private development.

Several want to “modify” (in other words, overturn) Miranda, Escobedo, and Gideon, which provide safeguards for those accused of crimes.

SCOTUS also overturned New York’s concealed carry weapons law, effectively mandating that the whole country is a “must-issue” jurisdiction.

Women can say goodbye to what few rights they have remaining: FMLA, equal pay (such as it is), protection from domestic violence, obtaining credit without a male co-signer, etc.
Racial and ethnic minorities can say goodbye to all of their rights as well.

Jews, Muslims, and other non-“christians” will once again be targeted by vengeful Talibangelicals.
Fundamentalist voodoo will replace science and drive our children’s education.

All those pesky environmental and occupational safety regulations standing in the way of increased corporate profits will be swept away.

A free press, freedom of speech and freedom of assembly will be eliminated in the name of “national security.”

Health care will be available only to the wealthy, after Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are abolished as “wasteful entitlements.”

And this will be the status quo for the rest of our lives, because SCOTUS is a guaranteed lifetime job . Barrett and Kavanaugh are in their fifties: they’ll be there for the next 30 years.

Make no mistake about it: the GQP is bringing us to a theocracy that makes Iran under the Ayatollahs look benign.

Still think they were “both the same”?

Was it worth it? Was your demand for political perfection worth losing America as we knew her? Is your conscience still clear, now that your refusal to vote for the lesser of two evils brought us the far greater evil? An evil that will last for decades, if not longer?

I hope you “conscience voters” are satisfied.

This is on you. You did this. Your arrogant naïveté, your refusal to “compromise” your “principles,” your abject failure to see the world as it was, elected trump, even moreso than the racists and misguided idiots who voted for him.

I hope you’re really some Goddamned proud of yourselves tonight.

Go out and hold your candlelight vigials, sing “We Shall Overcome,” and… BASK IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THIS IS ** YOUR** FAULT.

So I guess I’m a bit late on Huckleberry saying he’d use the Army and FBI to stop abortions if he’s elected President. Now, clearly this would be quite illegal — the Supreme Court has ruled that abortion is lawful, and the Constitution says that the Supreme Court, not the President, holds the judicial (judging) power in our system as to what is Constitutional or not — but really, this is just another case of theocrats not caring about the Constitution. They want to impose their religion upon other Americans at gunpoint. And Mike Huckabee is no different from any of the rest of his theocratic ilk.

Look: The Constitution is clear. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” It’s right there in the Constitution, folks. Congress (and, via the 14th Amendment, any other level of government) isn’t allowed to make any law about religion. Period. Government can’t ban religion, and government can’t allocate money to put religions icons in public buildings, and government can’t say that the official religion of the USA is Christianity or make any law that even implies such. It’s right there in black and white in the Constitution: Congress *shall make no law*.

If government decides to impose its religious beliefs upon others via law, the Supreme Court is well within its judicial rights to say “No, that law is not Constitutional and the courts will not enforce it and will rule against you if you try.” Because that’s in the Constitution too. The judicial power — the power to judge whether a law is valid under the Constitution — is given to the Supreme Court. Not to the President. Not to the President. To the Supreme Court. Article III Section 1. The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.

That’s what the Constitution actually says — not whatever Huckleberry *thinks* it says. Which is why people like Huckleberry need to be kept a long, long ways away from the levers of national power. Their notion that they should override the Supreme Court at gunpoint is toxic to the entire notion of constitutional government — and to any notions of freedom and liberty, for that matter, since if they can override the Supreme Court at gunpoint, they can do the same to Congress. And we have a word for a system of government where a supreme ruler rules at gunpoint with no legislative or judicial recourse. It’s called “tyranny”. Just sayin’.

Admits that he is a horrible human being and dumber than the average poodle dog and nobody should vote for him.

Well, sort of.

Meanwhile, World Nut Daily says Akin was right — if you get pregnant after being raped, you weren’t *really* raped. It was just, like, pretend rape or something, no matter how distraught you are or how many times you screamed for help while the man was forcing himself on you. ‘Cause see, if it was real rape, your ovum on its way down the Fallopian tube would have pulled its Uzi out of its backpack and, like, cut down all those little rapist spermatozoa ’cause, like, they would have burglar masks on and shit so that the ovum could tell the rapist spermatozoa from other spermatozoa. Or somethin’ like that. Whatever. It doesn’t have to make sense if you’re a Republican.

So what does Mitt Romney think about Todd Akin(R-Teabagistan) and abortion? We don’t know, because he refuses to answer questions about those subjects.

Of course, it’s a lose-lose situation for Romney. If he says anything, he’ll lose votes. If he says Akin is wrong, he’ll lose teabagger votes. If he says Akin is right, he’ll lose the anybody-who-is-sane vote. This just goes to show what kind of box the Republican Party has put itself into by relying so much on the mentally deranged demographic. Mitt Romney literally can’t open his mouth without either peeving the mentally deranged demographic that is his “base”, or the sane demographic that is the majority of Americans.

Of course, we have a word for people who care more about votes than about telling the truth. It’s called “cowards”. Just what we want for a President, right?

As you know, I subscribe to Birther Central, World Nut Daily. I do this to keep track of the conservative mindset. The results are usually nauseating, as you might expect — thus far I have read not one, not two, but *three* different “origin” stories for President Obama there, of which two of them would make Obama both 100% American and eligible to be President, and a liar — the latter of which doesn’t disqualify you from being President by any means (mushroom clouds if we don’t invade Iraq, guys?). They also have a strange obsession with Obama’s college grades (unless one of those classes was called Being President, why should I care about his college grades?), and spin a myriad of conspiracy theories about all the evil things Obama will do if re-elected — it appears that the only reason he hasn’t banned all guns, seized all major industries and put them under government management, etc. is because he’s just lulling us, he’s just pretending to be an Eisenhower Republican to get enough votes to be re-elected, and if he gets re-elected he’ll do everything the right wing predicted that he’d do if elected the first time and impose a left-wing socialist dictatorship like in Castro’s Cuba.

In short, I haven’t previously noticed any real standards from World Nut Daily. They’ll say anything and everything, though of course their real objection to Obama is that he’s a Democrat (they were just as deranged about Bill Clinton). Until Todd Akin’s nonsense about “Legitimate Rape”. I watched for a couple of days, and silence from World Nut Daily. And then today… editor “Crazy Joe” Farah apparently uttered, Unleash the Coulter! and whadya know, that skank in her stanky black cocktail dress let loose with all the bile in her bitter venomous little mind against Todd Akin.

I guess evil has standards, after all. Either that, or the Republican establishment is scared that if this Akin thing hangs around, someone will remember that Paul “Crazy Eyes” Ryan, Rmoney’s VP pick, has exactly the same beliefs as akin. Hmm, but that would mean that it was just self-interest on the part of Republicans to condemn Akin. And that never happens, right? Right?!

By now, unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard about Republican Senatorial candidate Todd Akin, who according to polls is going to be the next Senator from Missouri (or perhaps we should spell it the way Arkansans pronounce it — “Misery”). That is, Women don’t get pregnant from real rape. Apparently he believes that if it’s really rape, women’s bodies produce some sort of hormone that keeps the little wiggly sperm from implanting the ovum. So every time a woman gets pregnant as a result of rape, it’s because she wanted to be raped, it wasn’t real rape.

I won’t go into the science that debunks that ridiculous claim, or the moral vacuum that exists in the soul of a man who wants to force women at gunpoint to bear their rapist’s child, because you’re already aware of all that. I’ll just point out that he is yet another one of those busybodies who believes that women are too dumb, too stupid, to make their own decisions, to make their own choices. He apparently believes women are delicate flowers, dumb and air-headed, too stupid to entrust with making important decisions for themselves such as whether to continue or terminate a pregnancy, and thus big man Akin must make decisions for women. ‘Cause you know, them women, they’re just dumb and stupid and can’t make decisions for themselves, yo.

In a free country, women can make their own decisions about their pregnancy. But Akin doesn’t want a free country. He wants a nation where men can impose their will at gunpoint onto women. Todd Akin hates freedom, and his bullshit about “real rape” is just bullshit to cover up the fact that Todd Akin hates freedom and loves tyranny — at least, when he is the tyrant, and women are the victims of his tyranny.

How many newspapers in Texas do you think are running the current Doonesbury cartoon making Texas look like fucking morons by mandating that abortion doctors sexually assault rape victims prior to aborting the fetus implanted there by the rapist? Not many, I suspect…

A Christian believes that innocents go to Heaven when they die, right? So let’s look at aborted babies (using the wingnut definition of “fetus=baby” just for the sake of argument). Those aborted babies, if you’re a Christian they’re all with your god now aren’t they? They skipped the pain that goes with the human existence and went straight to the payday with their souls pure as snow untainted by the evil that as men they would certainly do. Seems to me that according to Christianity that’d be the best way to go, from zygote to Jesus with no time to get wicked.

Gosh, we could make this even simpler by just stationing a couple of folks with clubs at the maternity ward door. As someone comes out with a baby, the question: “Are you Christian?” “Why, yes!” (RIP thump thump thump thump) “My baby! Oh my poor baby! Why did you rip him out of my arms and club him to death?!” “It’s for the best, ma’am. He’s with Jesus now.”

Hey, that’s the Christian argument for abortion, not mine. So if you think it’s disgusting, or un-Christian, or whatever, hey, take it up with the Christians, not a good Tuxologist like me. Since Tuxologist heaven is an everlasting iceberg with an unlimited supply of herring, we’re not into that whole thumping of babies at the maternity ward door thing. I mean, c’mon. Ice. Herring. Forever. Geeze. Which is why Tuxologists believe in enjoying life *on* this world, not *afterwards*. Which is what makes us different from Crazy Church Lady and all her buds who think that, if, like, it’s fun, then it’s evil, because apparently fun is what happens after dying for Crazy Church Lady. Whatever.
