The Electric Prunes, “I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night” off their 1967 album The Electric Prunes.
Songwriter Annette Tucker hired these kids to play a wedding, and decided “huh, that’s pretty cool” and referred them to a producer friend, David Hassinger. Hassinger liked the band, but wasn’t impressed by their songwriting. So he hired Tucker and Tucker’s friend Nancie Mantz to write all the songs on the Prune’s first self-titled album. Including this one.
